Another successful parade season this year.  The season kicked off with the annual Westford Apple Blossom parade and Memorial Day ceremonies saw us in Lowell and back in Westford.  The Band was honored again this year to take part in the Westford Flag Day ceremony and we also took part in the Lowell Flag Day ceremony.  Rounding out our parades were Fourth of July parades in Brookline NH on the 4th and Pepperell MA on the 6th.

New Instructor
We are pleased to announce that Cambell Webster has agreed to join our ranks as our Drum Instructor.  Cam is a Grade 1 competitor and comes from a proud family history of dedication and performance in the Scottish arts.  Cam is not only proficient in the Highland Drums but also in Bagpipes and Drum Major.   We would also like to wish good luck to our Piping Instructor Kirk Brunson as he heads off for various competitions in August including a trip to Scotland for the World Championships to be held August 17th and 18th.

Highland Games
The Maine Highland Games is August 17th in Topsham ME, keep a watchful eye for some of our band members who plan on solo competitions.

The New Hampshire Highland Games & Festival is September 20 – 22 at Loon Mtn Lincoln NH.  The band will be fielding a squad for the Grade 5 band competition as well as having solo competitors in various events.  Look for the entire band in the massed bands opening and closing ceremonies and as always stop by our tent in the band area to say hello.

Interested in learning how to play the bagpipes or drums or already have experience but looking for a band to join or simply wish to be part of a Pipes & Drums honor guard.  Are you in the Fire/EMS/Public Safety field or have a relative who is.  If the answer is yes then the Westford FF Pipes & Drums wants you.  Click on the Join Us icon to the right or our Contact Us tab for more infomation or if you are at an event where we are playing feel free to talk to any of our members.  The band practices every Thursday evening at Westford Fire Station 3 on Town Farm Rd. with the exception of the last Thursday of each month where you can find us at the Franco American funciton hall 55 West Prescott St Westford.  Practices begin at 630pm.
