May was a very busy month for the band.  May 14th the band marched in the annual Westford Apple Blossom parade.

May 15th the band took part in the Freedom Salute homecoming celebaration for members of Company C, 3rd Battalion, 172nd Infrantry, 10th Mountain Regiment.  The band was honored to lead the troops in the opening ceremony.

May 19th the band performed at the opening ceremony for the Nashua Fire Department award ceremony.  Drum Cpl Doug Cote and Drummer Craig Adams were recognized for their years of service as they retired from active duty.  The band also received the Commissioner’s Commendation for service to the department.

May 22nd  the band led the Lowell Memorial Day exerc ises.

May 29th the band took part in the Westford Memorial Day celebrations.  Performing at the various war memorials throughout the town, the day culminated with the parade in the center and the civic ceremonies on the Town Common.
