It was a busy day for the band on the 15th Anniversary of the events of 9/11. Kicking the morning off the band split to take part in the annual NH Memorial Stair Climb in Manchester and also take part in Burlington MA morning ceremony. Our Manchester crew just missed the torrential shower however our Burlington crew was not as lucky. Never the less they persevered. Following those two events the entire band regrouped in Reading to take part in their parade and ceremony. The band proudly marched with members of the Irish American Police Officers Association. We will never forget those who gave their all that day.
It was an honor to lead in MFA’s latest class of career recruit graduates. 29 members of Class 247 graduated today from the Academy’s 10 week program. This was the first class to graduate under the new schedule and we were glad to be a part of their day.
Highlights from the transfer of command and retirement ceremony for Sgt Major Linch 25th Marine Corp. Our thanks also to members of the Scots Highlanders who joined us. (click heading to view entire post)
