Our heartfelt thanks go out to the Scots Highland Pipe Band for inviting us to participate as the guest Pipe Band at the Burns dinner this past February 2nd. What an evening, great food, great performances by both bands and lasting friendships made. We are already looking forward to a repeat performance next year.
Mark your calendar, the annual tribute to Scotland’s poet hero will be held February 2, 2013 at the Four Points Shearton in Leominster MA. Hosted by the Scots Highland Pipes & Drums, the Westford Firefighters Pipes and Drums have been invited to participate as the guest pipe and drum band. 
We would like to welcome to our ranks Piper Kevin Browne – Burlington Fire. We are also excited to have on board our new Bagpipe Instructor Kirk Brunson. Kirk is a member of the Grade 2 Stuart Highlanders and is a Grade 1 solo competitor.
What a great HIghland Games this year, the weather was great and good times were had by the band. An excellent opening and closing ceremony and our perfornance on the field continues to show huge improvements.
We’re heading north for the upcoming NH Highland Games September 21-23 at Loon Mtn in Lincoln NH. Catch us in the Grade 5 band competition, we are slated to compete first (subject to change on Saturday). Competitions to begin at 115pm immediately following the massed bands opening ceremony at noon. You can catch us in the closing ceremony at 5pm, we are in wave #4 and if our competition slot does change look for us in the opening ceremony too.
